Unaccompanied asylum seeking children and leaving care: funding instructions

Instructions to local authorities about funding for the support and care of former and unaccompanied asylum seeking children (UASC).

What’s changed: UASC and LC submission forms for 2026 to 2027 added.

These funding instructions set out the conditions under which local authorities may claim reimbursement of costs for supporting and caring for unaccompanied asylum seeking children.
